Instructions for preparing files
A source for eDition is a PDF file, but also all other image computer formats (JPG, TIF, GIF, BMP, PNG, etc…), which do not allow searching in the digitalized version of the publication later on. While loading materials to our server, we split every file to smaller parts (1MB). That is why in case of interruption of the transfer, the transfer continues from the interruption place. There are recommendations stated below which will save youtime and make your publication optimal for publishing.
PDF files
- Files should be prepared as individual pages – single page (not spread!)
- Resolution at least 200 DPI (or more)
- Cut to final dimension (without markers and additional spaces)
- Fonts included in PDF

Flash files
- The file should be ready for the version of Flash 9 and ActionScript 2
- Must not include ActionScript 3
- Frame Rate should be 24 fps
- Transparent background

Video files
- Video files must be prepared in Flash FLV format or published on YouTube.
- Video size shouldn't exceed 10MB (recomendation).
- Following settings are just guidelines: For 16:9 widescreen (width: 640px, height: 360px, Ideal frame rate: 24fps, encoding with 700 – 1500 kilobits per second, audio bit rate: up to 128 kilobits per second).
Sound files
- All sound material should be in mp3 format.
